Art & Design by Jenna Magness

I graduated in May of 2025 with a degree in Commercial Art! My time at Dallas Baptist University grew my abilities as an artist and taught me so much. My experience in school included Drawing and Painting, Design and Illustration, and informed me on how to pursue a career as an artist. I have experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop through many of my projects throughout school. In the summer of 2024, I completed an internship at Badger Branding where I was exposed to social media management, as I created many graphics, highlight icons, and reels for local businesses in San Luis Obispo, California. Then, I went on to be the Communications Intern at Northway Church and learned so much! I had an amazing supervisor who was both talented as a designer himself, and very hands-on and interested in my own growth as a designer. I continued doing work for social media, created slides for church services, print outs for events, t-shirt designs, and helped organize gallery events with the Northway Artists group. Now I work at ArtColab in Pismo Beach where I participate in design projects as well as many of the murals seen around town!

My future goals and interests include illustration work (I’d love to illustrate at least one children’s book), painting murals, and doing various design work and fine art mixed in there!
